It started out with a few small beards in my high-school years (2000-2003). After high school, I was in the Army for a while and was clean-shaven everyday for the duration. I really hated shaving as my skin often got rashes or infections -- painting your face green and lying in the bottom of a forest for weeks isn't hygienic. So after my time in the Army I stopped shaving. For starters, just trimmed it down to stubs. About half a year later, I decided to grow a full beard. I have had a full beard ever since (with two shavings that were almost instantly regretted in 2006 and 2008 respectively).

How do I feel about my beard? Fantastic. A recurring nightmare of mine is actually waking up without it. Besides, the girls love it! (Even though some of them wont admit it! :D)
