I have had short facial hair for a while. I believe I look better with some facial hair around the mustache and chin, and have been told the same. I decided to start growing a longer beard to see how it came out, and haven't shaved since November 15th 2010.

How do I feel about my beard? I like how it is coming, but need to keep it trimmed properly as it gets longer. I want it to have some vertical length with less horizontal puff. The areas just to the sides of my chin grow out much slower than the rest and there is a spot on the right which does not grow at all. Since I have to comb the cheek beard downward to cover this up, it makes it more difficult to achieve vertical length with my style of hair growth.
