Bearded since: 2004. I am an occasional or seasonal beard grower.

Comments:
I grow a beard every now and then. Beards are fantastic, a joy to have, and rarely disappoint. The beard pictured was from when I was eighteen years old. It was my very first beard and took about about 40 days to grow out. Unimpressive perhaps, but sometimes it is the effort that counts with beard-growing. Regardless of the length, whether you are growing it out for a couple of weeks or a couple of years, a beard is a timeless classic for the whole family to enjoy. Except my mother. It was promptly removed when I returned from college.

The beard pictured suited me very well, although I like to think that my beard-growing skills have improved over the last couple of years. There are some perceived drawbacks to having a beard. By the time Valentine's Day 2004 rolled around, my beard already had ten days of growth going and, naturally, I was unable to secure a date. But, spending a night with a beard is certainly not a night spent alone. Come to think of it, Valentine's Day 1986-2003, 2005, and 2006 were spent alone - beardless AND womanless. My beard is the best friend I have ever had and is better than any woman. Last, The best part of seasonal beard growing is that the priceless experience may be capped off with a sweet mustache.
