Bearded since: 2006. I am an experimental beard grower.

I grew my beard because I wanted to see how I would look with the beard and if it would "take". I like the concept of being able to change my appearance through selective beard growth / trimming.

How do I feel about my beard? I think it defines my face well -- it really suits me. I am not the most gifted beard grower out there. I have a great looking beard from ten feet -- but it looks a bit more scraggly closer in. Slowly but surely my beard seems to get a bit more substantial each time I grow it out. I generally grow my beard anytime I have vacation -- and then shave it off before major meetings or work events. I am working towards having a forever beard.
