Bearded since: 2011. I am a dedicated, permanent beard grower.

Why did I grow my beard? At first it was because I was in a position to do so. (I was unemployed.) Then it was to show my maturity, to try to hide my baby face. Now it's a way for me to experiment with new looks and because being bearded has become a symbol of my identity.

How do I feel about my beard? I love it. Of course I wish it grew a little thicker on the sides so I could grow it out more. But its slight patchiness has served as a good incentive to remind me to groom every once in a while.
