Curtis
Bearded since: 2008. I am an experimental beard grower.

Comments:
I usually try to start a beard every couple of years but always "trimmed it to death" before I ever got very far. I started one this year and found your website, which encouraged me to stop trimming it. I am just seeing what kind of beard I can grow at this point. And it sorta hides the double chin. I never had a dad in the home to ask advice so I it was nice to find this site.

How do I feel about my beard? This is at about eight weeks. I like the color and hair length so far. You can see where I trimmed the cheeks and neck for the first four weeks, until I found this site. I do have a major swirl pattern under my chin so I am not sure what to do about that. I am just letting it grow to see if it straightens out or if I will have to trim it to look decent. It seems to be curly as it grows, with random straight hairs that stick out. I never noticed how "un-perfect" beards could be. Mine definitely does not just lay flat. If I run a brush opposite of the growth pattern, it looks very bushy, but I do try to brush it several times a day.
