Bearded since: 2009. I am an experimental beard grower.

I grew my beard because I've always liked the look of good beards, but never thought I could grow one because my stubble wasn't dense enough. Thought I'd give it a go last year and, hey presto, I can sport a pretty decent one. It actually goes quite Obi Wan if I leave it to really grow.

How do I feel about my beard? I'm now firmly in the beard lover's club. My girlfriend likes it a little shorter than I do so I cut it back every so often to keep her happy. Pre-beard I didn't wear hats because they never suited me, but my beard has changed all that and my hat collection is growing at the same rate as beard! Huzzah for facial hair!
