I always wanted to grow a beard, probably because I've never seen my dad without one. The last few years of his life, my grandfather wore one as well, which also added meaning to having my own beard.

How do I feel about my beard? I switch back and forth between a full beard and a goatee, but never clean-shaven, unless I want to start my beard over. Now that I'm a father, though, there's something about a wearing a full beard that just seems right.
