Another reason to grow the whiskers is to hide occasional "beard rash" and my rather chubby face a bit. Personally on a more topical note, thought I don't want to look like Harry Potter's friend Hagrid though! I hate the multinationals like Gillette making millions just out of a "fashion" for shaving -- what a waste of resources when there are millions of people in the world starving.

How do I feel about my beard? It's grrreeeaatt! at least to me. No more stubbly feel in the afternoon! My kids quite like the beard... at least sometimes...
