I grew my beard because the woman I was courting said she loved beards. She was going to cut her long beautiful red hair, so we made a deal that she wouldn't cut and I wouldn't shave for 4 months.

How do I feel about my beard? I love it. I think it is strange that our culture frowns upon beards as unprofessional. I question the whole institution of shaving. It is kind of like cross-dressing. Are these guys trying to look like women or what?
