I first grew my beard because I've wanted one my whole life. I'm in a band called Sacred 13, so it was important to have facial hair. I have had many different styles over the past two years; including the mustache, the goatee, the goatee with mustache, the full beard, the chops, the chin-strap, and I've even experimented with dyes (which I've been consistently doing more recently) etc etc...

How do I feel about my beard? I'm confident in my beard. I feel that my beard is a part of who I am. I have long hair as well, which I've had for nearly a decade. So my beard is kind of becoming a big part of me as my hair has been. I'm going to continue growing my beard longer. As of April 2nd, 2009 I was able to wear my goatee in a ponytail for the first time!
