I have grown beards over the years for various reasons and lengths of time. In 2008 I had to grow for a small part in a movie. I was in The Beards folk rock band's video clip for their hit song, "If your dad doesnt have a beard, you have two mums". I grew untouched again for a movie role in 2011. Since I have trimmed it short from time to time, but since October 2012 I have not trimmed it in any way. And that's the way it's going to stay. I am a live-aboard sailor and find my beard to be the best sun block around. And it's free.

How do I feel about my beard? My beard is my personality. I am going to the grave with it.
