Why did I grow my beard? I've always had what most consider a chin strap style beard. But for the past year I've been letting it go. I don't see myself even trimming this year and hope to be able to do a freestyle competition when I get the length.

How do I feel about my beard? I love my beard. My grandfather Hank had a full beard just about his entire life and we lost him to cancer in 2013. This kind of helps me connect on the daily.
